Founded upon their desire to bring desirable, quality-built communities to the Las Vegas Valley, the Plaster Family formed Signature Homes in 1978. A privately held, local builder, Signature Homes has built over 13,000 homes, condominiums, and apartments and is trusted by Las Vegans for providing unsurpassed customer service and homes that are a seamless blend of modern living and timeless elegance. The Signature Homes team focuses on ways to heighten each home’s livability and aesthetic appeal, overseeing both architectural design and interior amenities. Now one of the oldest privately home builders in the Las Vegas Valley, the company has built strong relationships with local trades and businesses. These relationships translate to more value in each home and trusted, quality craftsmanship.
Over the course of 45 years, Signature Homes has garnered countless National, Regional, and Local awards. OUR HISTORY
How It All Began
Richard and Wendy Plaster founded Plaster Development Company, Inc, in 1978 as a Las Vegas family business with an unwavering commitment to building new quality construction homes, value, and customer satisfaction.
There was a time when craftsmen took such pride in their work that it was customary to place their mark or signature on each piece they created. Symbolically and in practice, this is the type of pride and commitment to quality that give birth to the company known as Signature Homes to better reflect the company’s philosophy of accountability and quality to craftsmanship.
Signature Homes’ investment in the Las Vegas community is further demonstrated by its commitment to local art and education. Richard and Wendy Plaster were both founding members of the Las Vegas Philharmonic and throughout the years have played a significant role in shaping the community by serving on its board and on the boards of the Nevada Ballet Theatre and The Meadows School. They have also generously supported dozens of local organizations, including Safe Nest, Las Vegas Habitat for Humanity, St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Here is what the community manager of Peccole Ranch, one of Las Vegas’ oldest and largest Master Planned Communities, submitted in their written nomination of us for the Community Associations Institute’s first-ever Developer of The Year Award:

This is an award we have been bestowed twice since it was created in 2003, which helps explain why we’ve been successful for over 30 years, despite the complexity of challenges in the construction industry.
Peccole Ranch Master Association has 16 residential developments within their Master Association, which include 2,860 homes. Signature Homes developed 7 of these communities and 929 homes.
