In 1978, Richard and Wendy Plaster founded Signature Homes with a commitment to provide Southern Nevada with quality-built homes at the most competitive prices. The company flourished and soon came to be recognized as one of the area’s preeminent home building firms.
Today, Signature Homes retains the distinction of being one of largest, oldest and highly-respected home builders in the Las Vegas valley. The company is ranked at 22 among the top 100 privately-owned businesses in Southern Nevada and in 1999, the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors honored Signature Homes with its prestigious “Home Builder of the Year” award.
Despite the demands of their professional schedules, Richard and Wendy Plaster have always found time to lend their support to worthwhile community organizations. Richard is past president and an 18-year board member of Southern Nevada Home Builders Association and Wendy is a longtime board member of the SNHBA Women’s Council.
The Plasters are long-standing sponsors of Nevada Ballet Theatre, where Wendy has been a board member for the more than 10 years. The company is a major underwriter for the ballet’s popular annual performances of “The Nutcracker.” Richard and Wendy also serve on the boards of the Las Vegas Philharmonic, where Richard is president elect. They are also major supporters of The Meadows School and SAFE House, a shelter for victims of domestic violence. Other organizations that have benefitted from their generosity include Las Vegas Habitat for Humanity, St. Jude’s Ranch for Children and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Signature Homes is actively selling in six neighborhoods throughout the Las Vegas Valley and has several more scheduled to open in 2003. The company also has a custom home division, which offers a comprehensive design/build program. For more information call 671-6000.
