April 27, 2004 - Signature Homes named “Developer of the Year”

Signature Homes was recently named “Developer of the Year” by the Community Association Institute’s (CAI) Nevada Chapter at a special awards banquet held at Sun City Anthem County Club.
CAI is a national organization dedicated to fostering vibrant, responsive, competent community associations that promote harmony, community and responsible leadership. This is the first time in its history that the CAI Nevada Chapter presented an award in the developer category.
Nominations for the “Developer on the Year” award were submitted by CAI’s Nevada Chapter members. Signature Homes was nominated by the Peccole Ranch Community Association, Thoroughbred Management Company and the Highgate Condominium property Owners Association.
The nomination letter on behalf of Signature Homes from the Peccole Ranch Community Association was written by general manager, Diane Howe, who lauded the company for its commitment to quality construction, fostering a sense of community in its developments and responding quickly and courteously to any issues that arose at its communities. Peccole Ranch community Association consists of 16 residential developments and Signature Homes developed seven of those community.

Richard Plaster and Shari O'Donnell

Richard Plaster, founder and president of Signature Homes, and Shari O’Donnell, community relations director of Signature Homes, accept the “Developer of the Year” award form the Community Associations Institute’s (CAI) Nevada Chapter

“Over the past years when our homeowners have had to contact Signature Homes regarding a warranty issue, their customer service department has handled all concerns promptly and to the satisfaction of the homeowners,” Howe wrote. “Peccole Ranch community Association recently concluded a 5-year construction defect lawsuit and Signature Homes was one of two developers that were not directly listed in this lawsuit. For a developer to have planned and built seven communities where construction experts ascertained that no defects were found in their construction is quite an accomplishment.”
In the letter of nomination from Thoroughbred Management, company president Kevin Ruth wrote, “There is no doubt that Signature Homes is most deserving of “Developer of the Year”. Working with Signature has been a pleasure as they approach community association development with a focus on the long-term community. They bring in the professionals early and request their assistance to insure the association will function well and then they stay with the community long after the normal transition.”
Richard Plaster, founder and president of Signature Homes, said he considered the “Developer of the Year” award a significant achievement for the entire Signature Homes team. “We have a company-wide unwavering focus on customer satisfaction that begins in the sales office and continues long beyond close of escrow,” said Plaster. “To be named “Developer of the Year” is a great honor, recognizing the efforts and achievements of the entire Signature Homes family.”
